How it all began

I bought a BMW i3 and, after a year and a half, realised that I needed more range. I was too lazy to study the car in detail and thought it would be easier to find someone to do the upgrade for me. I was wrong. During my search, I even visited hell itself and asked Lucifer to upgrade the battery. He did not. So there was nothing left to do but learn how to do it myself.

And that is how I got here. Since I am not selfish, I am happy to help others when they need to upgrade their car’s battery. And because I am still a little lazy, I have also found a great team to lend a hand.

I built a workshop that was originally intended for restoring a classic car. During construction, however, I realised it would also be ideal for battery upgrades. I purchased and assembled all the necessary equipment: systems for removing and installing HV batteries, equipment for modern air-conditioning circuits using R1234yf refrigerant, and all the special tools required for the work.
